Ayer os mostraba unas fotografías con las vistas desde casa de unos amigos en la zona de la palmera Jumeirah. La zona mas exclusiva de Dubai erigida sobre una isla artificial de 12.300 millones de dolares.

Esta es la residencia Tiara. La mas lujosa urbanización de pisos que hay aquí.

Esta urbanización tiene la increíble piscina que os muestro, playa privada, jacuzzi, gimnasio, sauna...

Si venís a Dubai tenéis que visitarla. Tiene un restaurante que se llama Solis.

Comida de todo tipo, desde carne a pescado, pasta, ensaladas... Postres deliciosos y unos batidos y zumos que te quitan el hipo!, y lo mejor, el precio, muy asequible.

El gimnasio tiene clases de yoga, spinning, aerobics, artes marciales, core y extreme challenge.

Estas clases son independientes, es decir, hay que pagarlas a parte aunque seas residente de la urbanización.

Cada clase son 65 dhs ( 13 euros ), pero tienen packs con 5 y 10 clases que salen mas económicos

Pack 5 clases 300 dhs ( 60 euros )

Pack 10 classes 550 dhs ( 110 euros )

Lo bueno de venir aquí a hacer deporte, es que si compras alguno de estos packs, luego puedes acceder a todas las instalaciones de la urbanización, ya que si no eres residente no puedes entrar.

Yesterday I posted some pictures with the views from a friends house in the Palm Jumeirah. The most exclusive area in Dubai consisting of an artificial island worth 12.300 million USD.

This is Tiara residence. The more luxurious apartments complex in here.

This residence is incredible. In these pictures you can see the pool, private beach, jacuzzi, gym, sauna...

If you come to Dubai, you have to visit it. It has a private restaurant called Solis. Food for all tastes: eg. meat, fish, pasta, salads... Delicious desserts and incredible milkshakes and juices!, and all at an affordable price.

The gym has yoga, spinning, aerobics, martial arts, core and extreme challenge classes.

These are paid apart even if you are a resident.

Each class is 65 dhs ( 13 euros ), but they have packs for 5 or 10 classes that makes it more affordable.

5 classes pack 300 dhs ( 60 euros )

10 classes pack 550 dhs ( 110 euros )

The best part of coming to this gym if you are not a resident is that by doing it you get access to all the facilities this great residence has.

Famoso por sus siete estrellas y su increíble diseño.

Tengo que decir que es mi edificio favorito de Dubai. Me parece espectacular!!.

Por la noche va cambiando de color y los fines de semana suelen hacer un espectáculo con fuegos artificiales.

He estado varias veces, ya que puedes desayunar, tomar un brunch o cenar en el y evidentemente todas las visitas que hemos recibido quieren conocerlo!!, normal!!, yo seria el primer sitio que querría ver también!!, jaja.

Nosotros solo hemos desayunado y os aseguro que es muy recomendable.

Puedes elegir entre desayuno continental 200 dhs ( 40 euros ) o desayuno buffet 250 dhs ( 50 euros ).

Después de desayunar puedes visitar el hotel, pero no puedes acceder a muchas de sus partes. Por suerte, las veces que hemos ido le hemos echado un poco de morro ( así somos los españoles ) y hemos podido acceder a algunas de las habitaciones, que por cierto son como un apartamento de tamaño  (mas de 170 m2)

In these pictures you can see the famous Burj al Arab hotel. Famous for professedly having a seven stars rating and a incredible design.

I have to say it is my favourite building in Dubai. I think it's spectacular!!!!.

At night it changes it's colours and during weekends it displays spectacular fireworks.

I've been several times there. You can have breakfast, a brunch or dinner.

Obviously all the visitors we've had with us wanted to go there!!, its normal!!!, I would too!, ha, ha.

We had a breakfast in there and I strongly recommend it.

You can choose between continental breakfast 200 dhs ( 40 euros ) or buffet breakfast 250 dhs (50 euros).

After having the breakfast you can visit the hotel, bust most of the areas are restricted to protect the guests privacy. Luckily, after using all our persuasive skills we managed to visit almost all the hotel areas including a few rooms which, by the way, where bigger than a regular apartment ( 1800 square feet + ). After all, we're spaniards...

Aquí los deportes al aire libre son los mas solicitados, por su buen clima casi todo el ano, ya que nuestros tres meses de verano aquí son un poco infernales por las temperaturas que se alcanzan...

Here the outdoor sports are very popular because the weather is good almost all year round, except for the summer months during which temperatures become sky high.

Los jeques... The sheiks...

Ayer estuve en el taller, ya que tenia que dejar el coche para que le hiciesen una revisión.

Los talleres no tienen nada en especial ( excepto los increíbles coches que ves...), que otro día tendré que hacer un post sobre ello. No os podéis ni imaginar los coches que hay aquí... El ultimo modelo de cualquier marca aquí esta, y versión full equipped por supuesto.

En fin... Que me enrollo mas que las persianas!. A lo que iba, cuando entre en el taller vi las tres fotografías que te encuentras en cualquier local que entres en Emiratos, es decir, la de sus jeques.

Yesterday I went to the workshop to drop the car for a regular service check.

The workshops have nothing in particular ( except the incredible cars you see), but I'll leave that for a future post. You can't imagine amazing cars they have in here...

The last model of any brand is on the road, and of course, all of them are limited editions.

So... To cut it short!, when I entered the workshop I saw three pictures that you'll find at any office in the UAE. Their Rulers.

Second picture his highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan founder of united Arab emirates.

Here they are very patriotic!!!!!!

Y bueno, como ellos lo son, pues yo también!, y aquí voy con mi pegatina de mi España querida!!

Ya que estamos hablando de coches, pues aquí os enseno la gasolinera. Todas ellas tienen burguer king, mc Donald's, costa coffe... 24 horas y ademas servicio a domicilio!!

Aun recuerdo la ultima vez que estuve en Madrid  y regresando a casa de madrugada vimos un amigo y yo el nuevo burguer king que han puesto 24 horas!!!!. Mi amigo alucinaba ( ya que en ese momento se cumplieron todos sus deseos ) y aquí ya lleva un tiempo...

Since we were talking about cars, here you can see a petrol station. All of them have burguer king, mc Donald's, costa coffe... 24 hours and home delivery service!!!!

I remember the last time I was in Madrid, coming back home in the early morning, my friend and I saw the new burguer king 24 hours!!!. My friend was freaking out ( his wishes came true ), but here in the UAE, is normal to have these services...

En las gasolineras aparte de que te echen la gasolina, si quieres puedes limpiar el coche por solo 30 dhs, es decir 6 euros. Esto es por fuera y por dentro!!!.

Aquí es imposible llevar el coche sucio!.

At the petrol stations the employees will pump the fuel for you and you can clean the car for only 30 dhs, that's 6 euros. This is on the outside and inside!!!. Here is impossible to have a dirty car!

Aquí podéis ver en la carretera limusinas de todas las marcas. Aquí estaba esta Cadillac echando gasolina como si nada...

Here you can see limousines of all brands. Here you have this Cadillac refuelling...

Y bueno, ya para acabar con las gasolineras, aquí casi todas tienen una pequeña mezquita por si te pilla la hora del rezo echando gasolina... ja, ja.

Aquí rezan cinco veces al día. Escuchas el rezo muchas veces cuando estas en los centros comerciales, supermercados...

Lo mas impactante que he visto son coches parados en las aceras durante el rezo y ellos encima de unas alfombras chiquititas que llevan en el coche agachados rezando.

Finally, in the petrol stations you have a small mosque. Just in case it's praying time while you are there... Ha, ha.

Here they pray five times a day. Many times you can hear them praying when you are in the malls, supermarkets...

The most impressive thing I've seen here are cars standing on the hard shoulders of the roads during the prayer, and the faithful praying over small rugs.

Dejando los rezos de lado, aquí os muestro las vistas desde casa de unos amigos.

Están hechas desde la palmera Jumeirah.Esta zona es la mas exclusiva de Dubai. Es como la moraleja en Madrid mas o menos.

Os dejo estas fotografías para que veáis de nuevo la altura que tienen los edificios de Dubai marina, que se ven desde cualquier punto de Dubai.

Prayers apart, here are the incredible views from a friend's house.

Is in the Palm Jumeirah. This area is the most exclusive in Dubai. Is similar to La Moraleja in Madrid.

Y para terminar, estuve en el cine con unos amigos y aquí os comento algunas cositas peculiares... Bueno, aparte de que aquí llegan antes las películas que a España ( ya que no tienen que doblarlas ) la mayoría de los cines son ' vip '. 

Asientos reclinables, botón de llamada al camarero por si se te antojan unos nachos en medio de la peli...

Puedes comprarte manta y almohada por 20 dhs mas, ( 4 euros ), 10 dhs cada cosa ( 2 euros ).

Aquí los subtitulos están en árabe o Francés.

And finally, I went to the cinema with some friends, and there are also a few peculiarities here... the premieres come ahead Spain because is not necessary to translate the film.. Most of the cinemas are 'VIP'. Reclining seats, waiter call button ( just in case you fancy some nachos)...

You can buy a pillow and blanket for 20 dhs ( 4 euros ), 10 dhs each ( 2 euros ).

Here the subtitles are in Arabic or French.

Y estas son las normas de comportamiento y vestimenta de los sitios públicos. Te encuentras estos carteles en todas las puertas y por si no te había quedado claro, amablemente te viene un seguridad a darte la tarjeta en mano para recordartelo... ( sera porque me ha pasado?...), ja, ja.

These are the rules of conduct and dress code for public places. You find these posters in all doors and the security personnel will kindly approach you to give you an instructions card in hand to remind you about it... ( Maybe it happened to me? ...), ha, ha.

Hola! Hoy quiero empezar el post con la moneda local. Se llama dirham, y para que os hagáis una idea, 5dhs = 1 Euro.

Aquí hay billetes de 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 y 1000 dhs. Monedas solo hay de 1 dhs y de 25 y 50 céntimos, que aquí se llaman fills.

Hello!, today I want to begin my post with the local currency here. It's called Dirham, and the exchange rate is roughly :

5 dhm = 1 Euro

The banknotes available are : 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 dhs.

Coins available are of 1 dhs or 25 and 50 cents, known here as fills.

Ayer estuve en el banco y fotografié un par de sucursales ya que me parecen muy ' fashion '. Me pregunto muchas veces la de dinero que tienen que tener por ahí detrás escondido... Aquí puedes sacar dinero en efectivo todo el que quieras, no hay limite. Que quieres pagar la casa en cash, pues toma, el coche, pues toma... Es lo que tiene tener casi todo el petroleo del mundo no?, ji, ji.

I went yesterday to the bank and I took pictures of a few branches. I think they are ' very fashion '. I often try to imagine the amount of money that they must have in the ' backstage '... You can withraw almost all the cash you may need. No limits. If you want to buy cash a house, or a car, there you go... That's what happens when you have one of the largest oil reserves in the world, isn't it?, ji, ji.

Bueno, y que os voy a decir cuando llegue aquí y tuve la sorpresa de que hay Carrefour!!!. Se me hace muy curioso ir por los pasillos y ver productos made in Spain. Nuestro aceite, aceitunas, azafrán, naranjas...

Aquí los productos son algo mas caros, por no decir bastante mas... Mi madre y mi suegra cuando vinieron fueron las que se dieron cuenta...

When I came for the first time I was surprised they had Carrefour too!!!. For me it is very curious walk through the corridors and see products made in Spain. Our oil, olives, saffron, oranges... Here the products are more expensive that back home... My mother and my mother-in-law confirmed that when they visited us.

Esta es mi sección favorita del Carrefour ( después del pasillo de las golosinas...). Es increíble la de sishas diferentes que te puedes encontrar. Diferentes tamaños, modelos, precios. Tienes varios sabores y todos sus complementos.

Hay tiendas exclusivamente solo de sishas, y tengo que decir que algunas de ellas son autenticas obras de arte.

This is my favorite section in Carrefour ( after the sweets corridor...). It's amazing the amount of different sishas you can find. Several sizes, models, prices. You have different flavors and all complements. There are stores dedicated exclusively to sishas, and I must say that some of them are authentic works of art.

Mi hermano y mi cunada me regalaron una cuando vinieron de visita. Yo no fumo, pero tengo que reconocer que fumar Sisha es diferente. A mi me encanta estar con amigos o familia con un buen vino, buena música y una Sisha desprendiendo ese maravilloso olor...

My brother and my sister in law bought me one when they came for a visit. I do not smoke, but I recognize that smoking Sisha is different. I love to share a wonderful Sisha scent with friends and family, together with a good wine and music...

Y para terminar, los dátiles, algo tan típico aquí como las ensaimadas en Palma de Mallorca.

Te encuentras en casi todos los pasillos de los centros comerciales puestos vendiéndolos. Están muy ricos. Tienes para todos los gustos. Dulces rebozados con chocolate, con frutos secos, picantes... Yo tengo que decir que soy del clásico.

And to conclude, a few words about the dates. So typical here as the ensaimadas in Palma de Mallorca. They sell them across all the corridors in the malls. They are delicious. You have for all the tastes : with chocolate, nuts, spicy... I must say I prefer the classic ones.

Hoy voy a empezar el blog de una manera muy especial y es enseñándoos Dubai Marina desde el mar...

This is the Palm Jumeirah's Harbor, an area that I will show you later in a different post.

Es muy tipico los barco-restaurante ( asi los llamo yo ) ji, ji.

The boat-restaurant is very typical ( thats how I call them ) ha, ha.

En ellos puedes comer o cenar, mientras te dan una vuelta por toda la Marina.

Ponen música y haces alguna que otra parada.

También disponibles en el Corniche de Abu Dhabi. Muy aconsejable ya que tiene unas islas preciosas.

You can have lunch or dinner while they take you on a trip around the entire Marina.

They play music for you and do several stops during the trip.

This is very typical also in Abu Dhabi's Corniche. Strongly recommended due to it's beautiful islands.

Como podéis comprobar, muchos de los edificios están sobre el agua.

As you can see, many buildings stand over the water.
